The Henneke Scale: Used in determining the condition of a horse Developed by Dr.Don R. Henneke, in 1983 to give an objective evaluation of a horse's condition, the Henneke Scale gives each of six body parts (neck, back, shoulders, ribs, loin, tail head) a grade. That number divided by six is the horse's score. Scores between 5 and 7 are acceptable. A score of 5 is ideal. Link to this site for more info: http://www.kaleidoscopehorserescue.com/Henneke.html |
